Diverse Employment Initiative
The MFPA is a not for profit, industry-run organization that promotes MANITOBA MADE food products to local and international markets. The almost 300 members range from small start-up organizations to large multi-national companies. These include Manitoba:
- growers
- processors
- marketing boards
- government agencies
- retailers
- suppliers of goods/services to the food industry
The MFPA Diverse Employment Initiative is a link between MFPA member companies and Manitoba's Diverse Workforce (Aboriginals, Persons with Disabilities, New to Manitoba Immigrants, Visible Minorities).
The MFPA Employment Initiatives:
- Helped place 49 employees in 2009.
- Presented to over 300 people - about the MFPA, job opportunities and job seekers.
- Worked with over 35 organizations and over 40 member companies in 2009.
